Sports fans and avid supporters of boxing may sit up and take notice of the achievements of Kings Boxing Academy.
20 year old middle-weight George Clark (72 KG) who was raring to get into the ring boxed on the Barnstable ABC show to box. This was a great contest with 2 talented boxers resulting in George Clark winning by unanimous decision.
Clark is representing the S.W Counties against SW London ABA in Camberley on Saturday the 16th with fellow team-mate and current Novice Champion Charlie Ryder, Ryder has already beaten his opponent but this is going to be a pure grudge match. Both are expecting tough bouts which will bring out the best of their skills earning them their County badges. Also on the same day their coach will travel over to Bath City to honour their show with three of the team’s newest boxers getting out for the first time. This is some commitment to a demanding sport but arrangements have been made to see all five boxers compete. The team are under a lot of pressure to deliver every possible task and to keep the gym together.
The club despite being full sees boxers come and go for various reasons but are still recruiting people to compete for the team and also they have female boxers who are equally welcome.
